ok so before i found this sight and learned about modding i got a "performance chip" off ebay, its a feul management one made for grand prix's. has anyone ever used one? i had mine in for about 2 days and took it out cuz i didnt notice a difference rite away. i know i didnt leave it in to see any difference really but was wondering if any of you have used one with any luck?
 


that was my first thoguht when i got in the mail. it has 2 wires that plug into the IAT sensor and sends a certain air/feul ratio to pcm i guess
 
lol, no it tricks the pcm into thinking it needs to dump more fuel, waste of money...check out the sticky on safely modding your 3800...
 
ive already checked that thread out. i was cleanin today and found it layin around haha. so just asking

but since your engine has nothing to burn that extra fuel, it just ends up forming a nicer layer of carbon that will make your engine run like crap sooner then you think

all those chips are is a 20 cent resistor, some sellers put them in a little plastic box
