Stock exhaust, go straight to 3" stainless or do U bend delete first?

So that is pretty much the question. (I'm working with stock everything) So basically should I do U bend delete first or go straight to 3" stainless exhaust? I guess it depends on the 3" stainless exhaust that I pick right? Thanks for the help!

No point for 3" at all. Get headers they will take car of the ubend also. Then throw some borla mufflers on it.

I KNOW I am getting 3" stainless, so that is not the question.....question is 3" stainless first or u bend delete first. So where does the 3" stainless come forward to? Will I need an extender pipe? Recommend using cat or no cat with 3" stainless? if so which cat? Thanks again!!! I appreciate it!

the downpipe will get rid of the u bend. the shorty downpipe is the only one you will need an extender pipe. the regular downpipe is a direct bolt in.

Well buy a 3" inlet 30" glass pack to replace the stock res. Then run the all the way up to the u bend with no cat.

I'm sorry I might be confusing you. I know I am getting 3" stainless. Don't know if I should do cat or no cat. With or without cat what do I need to do with the U bend. Its gonna go either way but basically I want to know if I need an extender pipe with cat or no cat and 3" stainless. If cat, what kind? Thanks again!

OK the stock exhaust is in 3 parts. The manifolds are bolted to the down pipe is bolted to the cat back. I would get headers they will come with a 3" down pipe and take care of the u bend. Then get a 3" cat back of you choice and it will bolt right up to the headers down pipe.

Well now you've got me thinking. I am really interested in performance. So you are saying for performance go with downpipes first and then go cat back? Sound isn't a factor. Performance is my goal.
