Paint PLOG or not paint PLOG?

I just recieved my plog today. It is used and it's mild steel. I need to coat it with something. Should I just use a standard flat black protective coating or should I paint it a nice color such as blue (my fwi rubber boots are blue)? I hate riced out cars, and I don't think it would be too ricey if I painted it blue. I could be wrong though. lol. Never seen one painted to a theme color. Just looking for some opinions.......

paint meant to take the temperature and cured correctly will not burn off.

VHT header paint won't stay on unless its heat cured. Unless its cured, you can peel it off with your fingernails.

Yeah, considering I can grab a hold of my header primaries after hours of driving.
