Needs A Turbo
ok so im sitting at home at 12:00 am and my buddy calls me up..."hey wanna run a 04 gt mustang with a intake tune catback?" this is where it started.....

got there ran the mustang from a 20 roll and 30 roll....my rear quarter was even with his headlights on the 20 roll and on the 30 roll he missed 3rd (bad syncro)...gtp 1 mustang 0

a couple nights before i lined up against a couple of my buddies consisting of a g8 gt(intake, catback), evo 8 (turbo timer, boost controller, BOV, catback, tune), and a stock gtp....

g8 gt was first i raced him awhile back but i was misfiring so it was terrible.... this time from a 25 roll i had him by a fender til somewhere between 80-100 his legendary LS motor topend reeels me in quick!

next was the stock gtp....roll i had 1.5-2 cars maybe more, dig i had numerous cars (he's a newbie launcher)

finally the evo.....(no digs obviously, i dont fukk with 2 step launch control haha) 25 roll.....he jumped bad but it wouldnt have mattered i was about a car behind til 80 mph then it got to around 2-3 cars as his turbo raped up top.....

last race of the night g8 gt vs evo 8....dig...evo by a car...40 roll....evo by half a car....g8 kept up surprisingly well IMO....

Man, how do you roll race? I hate it. Especially having to be at certain speeds to benefit from the downshifting. Digs are where it's at. Besides, always fun getting the better launch on the faster cars and seeing if they have the pull to catch up and or pass you

from a 30 roll or lower i put the trans in first, but the second i punch it i get it into drive at lightning speed to get the higher shift point from my tune and not fukk up my trans....works like a charm :th_thumb-up:

i can't imagine that being good for the trans.

On a side note, those evo's are nasty little buggers. Good runs.

why? im just manually downshifting the trans so i dont have to wait for it....it instantly goes into drive i do not ever hold it in first
