Top swap help



dont take it to someone if you dont have to. its probably better that you learn how everything goes together so that you know how to fix it when you break it.
 
Im in dover DE, welcome... as far as helping with the top swap, Im available every other weekend... Do you have all the parts yet?
 
well i dont have the parts yet im tryna save up a little bit more money so can have everything done at 1 time

yea i just want somebody there for an xtra hand thats experienced with the 3800 engine
 


lol well of course im gonna push it but im talking about dogging it like yamming the pedal every chance i get,i mean problems are people getting out of the top swap? anything common?
 
i top swapped this past summer including some other goodies.

-pacesetter headers
-1.9 roller rockers

I think the motor runs pretty good, only thing is the old stock trans that has 131k, we lost 4th (it was going bad but new found power just shattered it). Stay out of wot going into 4th, don't do 3-1 downshifts, 1 wheel peel outs, etc etc and you should be fine, of course every car is different. If u think your trans could be going, the extra power and torque is only going to accelerate the problem.
 


Hey new to this site. I live close by, never did a top swap but if you need to borrow a pulley puller for MPS or any other tool I got it.
 
i have a top swap 4sale if your ar intrested and i am right on the other side of philly if you are intrested i could use the cash so.. make me an offer i have every thing i used the bottem end in my car and it ran great b4 i swaped i ahev ported lim and hed thats y i dident use any of the stock parts...
