How much will 20" rims effect performence of a stock gtp?

Slightly slower with 20s, but it really depends. Honestly you may not even notice a difference. I would worry about your rims cracking or bending on potholes more than anything.

20s are usually pretty heavy. you can find some lightweight 18s if you want to pay a premium. if you want to go fast on street tires you just dont buy big wheels.

but that being said, i love the way these cars look tucked on 20s.

I have 20's on my GTP......still fast, still rides great.....looks amazing....

bet youd lose half a second in your quarter if you switched back to the stock 16s. im also not quite sure how you can call your car fast when its stock. you are driving a 15 second car.

First of all, don't be a hater.....secondly my car is pretty dam quick, I never claimed I was running 11's or anything....but I'm happy with the way it runs on the street...

20's may slow it down a half second or whatever....but DAM It looks good......

:th_gun-rifle: **** haters

if youre making a fast car then dont do big wheels, but its a fact that the bigger the wheels you can fit on the car WITHOUT raising the car up the better it looks. 20s are the correct size wheels to do that.

Throws off Speedo
Kills your MPG
Added stress on Diff
Makes you slower
i luv my 20's. i had stock rims w/toyo spectrums (good tires) but they would spin out a little, even in 2nd gear. the toyo proxys i have now grip the road like tape. traction is good. but havent really noticed any difference! I guess if i was taking it to the track i prob would stick to 18's but this is for everyday use. :D
