need foglight bulb suggestions

I have run silverstars for my headlights for over 2 years now without them failing. However, I run the 880's (silverstars also) in my foglights, and I am replacing them about every 2 months or so. Does anybody have any suggestions on different foglight bulbs that are at least about the same light color output as silverstars?

HID's are out of the question until summer or fall, so please do not suggest that. I am looking for stock size, replacement, 880 size bulbs.

Thanks -

That will come along with HID's when I get them this fall, but I guess I was looking for a stock replacement bulb that has a similar appearance as a silverstar, but has more than 1-2 month of life. :(

im just wondering if the stock housings are sealing well enough to keep moisture out.

WHy not upgrade to a true fog lamp the ones with the yelow bulb like i did on my 92 it helped a whole lot at night

I just had mine burnout a few months ago but with the storms we have been having I have not been able to fix it yet. Whats the highest watt you can go without melting your light?

Because I do not like yellow light. I prefer the look of my silverstars. I actually would rather have HID's, but I promised my fiance no more **** for the car until we trade her Escape in for a TBSS. I ended up emailing sylvania, and they replied and said that the average lifespan on the 880's is 'approx 100 hours of runtime' :th_shakinghead1:

However, the guy did say that if I could send him a copy of my receipt or a bulb that was bad, he'd send out a replacement set. :th_thumb-up:

i have the silverstars in my car also and the first set i had i had them on the entire trip to tennessee 6 hrs and 1 burnt out then on the way back drove through some bad storms and the other burnt out as well. went back to the store and they replaced them haven had a problem since

You could try useing the cyber whites
that is a very clear and bright light
Probly one of the closest things you will get to running HIDS
for a plug and play bulb
