The tentative dates have been worked out, but I need your feedback.....

The dates are August 28th - 30th 2008

Do these days work for you?
 


Unless an emergency comes up I'm in no matter what the date. Labor Day weekend I'll already have more days off so I'd be covered already. Some people may not be able to get out of work for that though as higher seniority or ranked people may already be taking it, but plenty of notice for everyone to check it out.

Traffic may be a little more hectic on the trip. How is Branson around that time? It was pretty busy 2007, Labor Day weekend a big pull for tourist there at that time? I'm gonna try to extend my stay by a day for 2008 to be a little more prepared, relaxed, and check out the attractions.

Too early in the school year for me, unfortunately cannot take off that early in the year :( Who are the coordinators for BGPM this year?
 
I will be there whenever it's scheduled, however, Branson on Labor Day weekend would be a traffic nightmare IMO.

Kel for you and Aaron, I hope the date gets changed.

nah Lee, I dont expect anything to get changed because of me. ;) A lot of people cannot take off that Fri because they don't get paid for Monday if they do :(

Here's what I would say to that. Let us know what dates around that time frame would work for you. Dont worry about whether you are just one person or not, let us know. We may be able to do something, we may not, but dont be afraid to speak up. All we can do is look at it and see what if anything can be done.
 
that is a good point Kel, didnt look at that. Lets see what falls out here, but I am looking seriously at Sept 4th, 5th and 6th (which would be the same time frame as last year). Thats a Thursday, Friday and Saturday...Thursday being something like we planned last year, a check in and cruise, and a free day to see the sights.

I would like to see enough members this year to fill the motel. The more I think about it the more I worry about getting around in Branson on a holiday weekend. It was relatively busy last year and it was a normal weekend and rainy.

Although there was a big turnout last year, we were all hoping for a larger one this year. With more club cars and many more tourists, getting around as a group may become a pain.

Not complaining, just throwing it out there.:)

Thanks again to the many people involved last year that made the 2007 meet a great success.
 
I'm planning on starting teaching next year, so a couple wks before school starts would work better for my wife & I.
 


The 4,5,6 of Sep will work better. I will have to agree that Labor Day weekend down there is a BAD IDEA for traffic.

I think we should stick with that Sept Schedule again. It drew a lot people and weather was quite cooperative then.

Also I took think it will be a nightmare of old people driving aimlessly around Branson and Springfield on their way to Branson. I would much perfer to avoid that at all possible costs.

Just my 2qts on the topic :)

Yeah I don't think he'll show this year. Not too many friends at the party this time. Not that there was that many last time.
