Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Anyone ever try putting a 5 speed or something in a 97+ GP?

buddy of mine that has a 400 hp gtp in georgia told me swapping it over 2 a manual would slow the car down. dont know if its true tho.

In a way this is true. A built Auto will shift faster than most stick shift drivers. Also, for the 1/4 mile brackets or whatever and auto will almost always be more consistent.

In theory you'd think a stick shift would be faster, sure it may get MPG on the highway with the extra gear and lower RPMs. Sure it may have a faster top speed as well. It'll be a better roll racing car too.

In reality. Most of the people out there who have stick shift cars, can't drive them anyway. So generally a stick shift car will be slower because of the driver alone. There ain't many out there who can actully use there stick shift cars to it full advantage.

For me, stick shift does nothing for me. I'm not thrilled about driving one or not. Give me a high stalled, low geared auto with a manual valve body any day of the week...

more gears the better but if you can't shift fast whats the point?
ya a 5 speed could do eather as stated above but if you learn how to drive it good it can be faster, much better for drifting

yeah, but you don't have to be a dick.

its just frustrating when there is a tool thats easy to use but no one uses it just like some of the what mods should i do well there is a sticky on that page for that reason, in this case it is a search tool right at the top
