• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Anyone?

I don't think that you can bore the motors out a whole lot. There is a 4.2L stroker kit out there somewhere, mostly in Australia I think.

Yup...it bores it to 4.25 liters...but the kit is somewhere in the neighborhood of nearly 4 grand. You can do DIY turbo build for less than that...OR...probably a solid low 12 sec M90'ed car.

ok thanks, only reason i ask is because at we school we got to the chapter of cams and pistons and all that and we had to solve equations for boring a 5.0 mustang so i thought bout our cars

about as much fabrication as it would be to bore out a 3.8 to a 4.2 block. probably less because motor mounts are easy.

Not sure if it helps any, but mine's bored .020" over, and I don't think there was much of a difference between that and stock size. Of course, I can't really tell that well, because I raised the compression to 9.5:1 as well as fully rebuilt and balanced the motor.
So, unless you're planning on changing to a set of aftermarket pistons and doing a full rebuild, I don't think it's worth it just for the slightly increased displacement.
