• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

4340 will handle more HP than can be achieved with a supercharged car. Yeah, F*ck you

you broke an output shaft? wow. how hp are you running?

At the time ~313whp. In the waterbox, I stabbed the throttle for a sec and then *BAM*. Scared the crap outta me. :th_laugh-lol3:

I have a couple of theories on what happened, maybe there wasn't enough water and the stickyness of the QTPs just shockloaded the shaft. It did look like it twisted and then snapped. (I'll see if I can find the pics.)

those are sick pictures dude, that's nasty. i've heard from a lot of people on this forum that zzp's parts don't go well with these cars. i'll probably stay away from them if i ever get to building

Wow this is still going on? 4 pages of this? I would be willing to bet that only 1 company makes these shafts but yet it's ZZP'S junk? Race cars break down all the time, you know they are buying the best stuff available but they still break. Even the f***ing shuttle breaks down. Geez....Whatever happened to that adois? F***k

Shows how much of a uninformed moron you are. Thanks for letting me know to totally dismiss you ahead of time.

Call me out? What? Point of the post was that all parts are subject to breaking...you guys are a bunch of morons. I don't give a s**t who makes it. If you don't like ZZP's products then stop buying from them..it's that simple

Maybe I misunderstood you then?

The point of this thread is that ZZP's claim as to the strength of the shaft is false. If ZZP didn't say that this particular shaft would not break with a supercharged car, there wouldn't even be that much of an issue. OP would just be proud he makes enough power to break it and move on to get a new shaft.

Rofl.... that might of been the point of your post, but it'd help if you were actually bright enough to realize what the point of this whole thread is first.

Odd. That input shaft snapped/radially cracked on the splines where the drive sprocket sits? Is this the same shaft from Wolf's ride from earlier in the thread that still had the seemingly undamaged pump shaft hanging out of the bell? And the other end took a dump in the TC.

2 Breaks? Hrrmm? My forensic diagnosis would be that the shaft split diagonally inside the TC, then whacked the remaining input shaft laterally, snapping it inside the accum cover. But that cannot be the case, because the pump shaft would have gotten mangled in the process.

Oh, who cares. I've been watching too much NCIS.

Wow Street Wolf, you weren't ****ting me about the damage you told me about over the phone. Wow, that thing is destroyed!

Hate to see this happen to you man, glad you're back up and running though.
