• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

I Want...

I hate convertibles. The only things a top should come off of is women and jeeps. T tops are a different story tho.

That's ****ing awesome, I've always thought these cars would look sweet as convertibles. Is that someone's custom job or was it some pontiac concept?

I think it's someone's custom job, I would love to do that to mine, if I had a 2 door that is. That looks sweet :)

Just don't get into an accident with it. The roof is part of the unibody and without it you loose a lot of structural rigidity. Unless that guy has an engineering degree and planned out proper bracing under the car, it would crumple like a tin can.

I totally agree! and in all honesty i believe all convertibles should be required to have some kind of roll bar/cage because its a safety hazard. sure it has the windshield but nothing else in most cases to even begin to protect u in the case of an accident.

I've owned a couple convertibles. Hard to say anything beats one one a nice cool fall evening on some back county roads. However, a convertible Grand Prix? I think I would pass, just for Sabrewings reason above.

i think if they cut the top, they would know to re-enforce the body to help prevent it, but really any convertable you get in an accident and you can be in trouble i mean theres no top! lol

I was going to do that to mine, but I own a four door. I was hoping to build a v8 RWD ragtop Grand Prix, but I realized that it would be cheaper to buy a vette.

That particular concept was fake. It didn't have a working top at all, it was just for looks. As for any reinforcement done, I donno, i doubt it since it was a concept vehicle. I probably ended up being crushed anyway. It came to a couple of the GPGs back in the day.

I agree with Sabre though, I wouldn't do this to my car for the obvious safety reasons. I've never really liked convertibles anyway...

Anyone have the link to the orange GP that i THINK was a convert? It was a burnt orange and it was extremely modded out. I know it ended up being crushed but it was a sweet car.

This one looks pretty good. No a fan of convertables but this one looks good.
