This is a ASCD replica of the GTX hood. The fitment on the car isnt right i took as many pics with measurements to help explain. Can fiberglass warp? I know these are based on the main hood frame. But what else could it be?

It definitely appears uneven.

Is that chipped paint on the other hood or is it just dirty?

shame.. lol

yeah looks chipped...
i might have a lead on a dirt cheap hood local :)

yes those are rock chips. Dont they look purdy...cant you see the hail dents in it too. When iwas on my way to college one night hit a hail storm and just nailed the car causing 3k worth of damage. FML

It would probably be easier to see if the problem could be cured if you took pictures of it connected to the car as best you can get it.

You may want to not connect the hood struts at all to fit it (if they can be connected). Stock hood struts are very strong as they are meant to hold up the stock steel hoods, but a light fiberglass hood can be bent out of shape by them.

I have also heard that fiberglass hoods can change shape during dramatic changes in temperature.

First of all you need to get it off the hood latch, thats the the center and its a horrible referance point. Id block the hood on the corners the same on all four corners then measure to the floor of your garage. Then do the same with a metal hood. And see how much difference there is. Im not saying that its not warped it certianly could be but I think your measurements are hardly accurate if at all. X2 on the not using hood struts if seen people trash carbon hoods trying to slam them down with the struts still connected. Then they wonder why the alignment is horrible. Lastly if I had a GTX hood Id adjust the fenders, bumper, and headlights, around the hood! GTX hoods sweet id make every thing else around it fit the hood!

my ascd hood fits 100% perfect out of the box, but it is new, only problem with it is i have to make a new loop for the latch because the one that came on it is a quarter inch too short.

the whole latch is adjustable up and down if i remember right when i fixed the front of my sisters gp after blasting a deer. It move the latch up and adjust the rubber hood stops to keep it lined up nice.
