shelby gt500

Yes you do. Otherwise you wouldn't be sitting here debating about it. They are heavy tanks...lame Ford supercharged engineering which btw does nothing...can't hook for beans...for that kind of money? HA!! Can you honestly say a high revving DOHC motor with a SUPERCHARGER AND INTERCOOLER getting the snot beat out of it by a little pushrod N/A car is cool, or fast for that matter? Not likely.

Just for fun: YouTube - 2007 Shelby GT500 1/4 mile crash Typical.

Whipple what? YouTube - Corvette vs GT500

And here is a good driver: YouTube - 2008 GT500 Vs 2006 Viper (High Quality)

Keep in mind...a bone stock Z06 will run down...hmm...THAT MODDED ONE? That's right. Oh...and here he put on slicks. YouTube - Ranger C6Z06 10.85 Bone-Stock on Drag Radials

And just last week. Shafer threw down a 12.4 on street tires in his GTP...slicks I bet he'd be running right along with that GT500...same weight and 2 less cylinders.

YouTube - Shelby GT500 LOL

If they can barely grab traction on the track, how do they on the street? There are plenty of other high hp RWD cars out there that you don't have to be a good driver to get it to launch properly without feathering into it or doing a whole lot of work. I could put bus lengths on one in the street from a dead stop, but he could do the same to me from a roll...

Because there tires blow.

And, damn.. that dude CAN NOT drive, plus the vert's are heavier.

:th_scratchhead: You can have all the HP in the world...but if you can't drive then its pointless!

I know! that's what I'm saying, these ppl in the shelby's can't drive for ****.

Either way.. it doesn't REALLY matter.

Not like I don't have a GP... and I plan on making it quicker then most mustangs.

Quit bowing to them then...GT500's suck...and for the money, good driver or not...I can get something that goes twice as fast and looks 50 times better, because...after all. It is still a Mustang no matter how you slice it.

Definitely sounds like Shelby needs driver mod. Sounds to me like the guy tried punching it while engaged in fifth and doing fifty- not too smart. I have a Gtp and the Shelby and believe me- they are NOT in the same league. The Shelby is not great from a dig- stock tires suck, rear lower control arms suck, and so does gearing. However, starting from fifty mph that car is RIDICULOUS. I have crushed several C6 Vettes at that speed. I have to believe that the dope in the Shelby was in either 4th or 5th gear and/or you have a sick Grand Prix.

hmmmmm..... supercharged against n/a not even a fair race. of course the stang would get the camaro in top end but the stang looks like complete **** compared to the camaro.

Ok, the video is just to show what the mustang ran, I can care less that it beat the camaro.

S/C Against N/A, Not my problem.

On the fact the camaro looks remotely good, it doesn't, never did, never will.

Silly Ford boys and their solid axles... When will they learn they are only good for going straight. :th_shakinghead1: And they can't even do that well.

About how the Camaros look: I would beg to differ...

The brand new ones like you have are nice, but the old models...eww.
