Six Speed Manual in a Grand Prix!



who knows...his car was for sale, i seen it in other forums and on the interweb...so you might be able to get lucky and buy it..i think he was asking 7k...

I was actually asking 9k for it, but now I am trying to beat the financial rapids and keep the car.
I was actually thinking of putting a whipple on it. You know, if I can put a six-speed manual transaxle in the car, I have the confidence that I can make a whipple work. I will have to wait until I am rich and famous to do that, but it is fun to think about.
 


Basically..... its on the Cobras... however the whipple on our cars is completely custom to work and fit and a whole other mess of stuff!
 


what the hells a whipple?

A Whipple is basically a twin screw blower vs. a Roots style blower that doesn't bleed off boost or not make any power up top...the Whipple just keeps making power...and where the M90 on a 3.8" will make about 6-8psi at WOT, the Whipple makes about double that. But...the Whipple is also more than twice the size of the M90...

nah, i think the m90 is a good blower

It is for awhile...until you need bigger and better, but it cannot compare in anyway to a Whipple...especially when you open the throttle up :th_biggrin2:
 


Brain... any thoughts on developing your manual trans swap into a kit?

Id like a performance one, haha. I'm trying to get a LS4 swap together. I'm debating on going the full distance and putting a 6 speed on it. A few Fiero guys have mated a 6 speed to their LS4 swap.
