Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

I Need some help

Couple ways to go about it... The wiring itself wouldn't be hard, just splice into the hot for the parking lights. Figure a dremel tool to cut out lettering. A piece of clear or red plexiglass behind it, the lights might be in somekind of enclosure so you don't see the beam under the car so to speak. Nice idea, very similar to what Pontiac did with the Sunbird (I think that was the name of it)..

Correction - Sunfire (Thanks Roca :))

i know how to wire it i just dont really understand how the letters are that perfect. Like i guess plexi would work.

i know cutting would be the hardest thing but backing it up wouldnt be easy either. like i guess you could just use the cut out letter as a stencil type thing for cutting the plexi.

I think I know what you're trying to say...but I don't know that you're thinking about it correctly. (huh?1?) Anyway...

I think you're getting at that it would be hard to get the plexi to lay flat against the backside of the insert where the freshly removed letters were. If you take a look at it though - when you cut out the letters - you are removing the "hump" from the backside - since the letters are recessed and not raised - get it? You will still have to do some sanding to get a good, flat surface area, but i think you could adhere individual pieces of plexi over each letter opening on the back - instead of trying to apply one long piece - and not have any issues with them being flush.
Make sense?

yea i see. If instead of only cutting out the indent, cut out the whole letter. Then the plexi would want to lay flush with the backing. This sounds like a haaaaard job though. alot of time on my back. :th_mechanic:

its a cool mod to say the least, ALOT of time spent though for a small effect the general public wouldnt notice.
