a part number for the taylors? its it 72210? i think that is what it was...wife pitched the box...oops! i think i only paid 60 or so from summit when i bought mine, but they took forever to ship out though. yes, the accel...what a joke. the ground part where the screw makes contact doesnt really fit with the stock screws that hold down the coil, aka it doesnt keep good electrical contact and shorts out, feeling like there is a miss or engine stops firing, so dont get anything other than the stock coils..they are good enough!! (that means i have three nice yellow coils sitting in my toolbox for the last 4 yrs...dont waste your money!)
 
hahaha ok got ya, yeah i think im gonna go with the Taylor wires, they look pretty damn good, and not that expensive. the NGK's are copper cores so im going to go with those had success with them in the past, and will clean the hell out of eveything the coils, the ICM, and do the rest, i see now how most of you get great gas mileage, (I have been driving my moms car with mine in the shop) and even tho its a 3.4L it got 120miles at the 3/4 mark my car gets that at the 1/2 mark if that LOL, time for a major TUne Up!!
 
you doing the fuel filter too? that might even help you out some. so no one knows what the taylor model numbers are for the wires that fit? i know there are two, but which?
 
Just buy some MSD Wires and be done...I'd never had an issue with them and for the money they have been on and off at LEAST 5-7 times. Cost me about $60 for them.
 
thats the thing, the taylors are awesome, and cost LESS than the msd...i just cant remember the dang part number...lol its either 72210 or 72206...
 


and just as a guilty by association, with the MSD Coils being trash, i dont wanna try MSD wires esp for that price, the Taylors so far have gotten rave reviews, and are not that hard on the wallet.

Don't know where you have heard trash...they aren't. They are just too expensive for most people. They don't do much, but sure looks nice under the hood. If I was building another car, I'd buy the wires in a heartbeat, just not the coils. Plus, the time wasting trying to figure out what Taylor's fit and buying the wrong ones, taking them back, etc...you can have a setup of MSD's already on the car.

i think he meant the coils, and why spend the double price if you know which set for sure? im getting taylors again. thinking im going with red and black under my hood now..or just all black...

just got off of taylors site to come back and edit...info!!!

72X10 is for non s/c car and 72X06 is for supercharged...the X representing color codes as sims said...but arent they the same length? intakes are about the same size for wires to route over..could i use the gt wires on gtp car? i think my wires are good as is, only about 50-60k miles..

yeah, slowriellys bought out advanced...so kragen down the street is both. slowrielleys already owned their stock and shipped for them, guess it was a hostile takeover...lol
 
OK...i just looked at TDC's post for the wires in the for sale section.....all they are is Taylor Wires and MSD boots....for 44.50 i think just going with the Taylor wires is good for me.

Taylor's are what 8mm? Not sure, I've never looked at them. TDC's are huge...I think larger than 10mm.

so im gonna just go with the reg taylors yeah they may be a bit smaller im not running boost or anything they should be just fine :)
 
ok got my plugs and wires, will do this on Sat, but heres is the million dollar ? how the hell do i reach the back part of the engine?
