Arrowhead emblems?

So I'm new here at the forum. Seems to be a pretty knowledgeable crowd. :th_winking:

Here's the deal. I have an '02 gt and I'm getting my front painted and my front arrowhead emblem is kinda gouged up so I was going to just replace it. Since they come stock with that ugly black plastic border thing I was looking to get a later year's emblem. Would any other years of emblems fit?

I was wanting something like the newer models that are chrome looking, but since it sits in an indent I just need to make sure it will be the exact size. Now I've seen some emblems on other Pontiacs that are quite a bit larger and I know those won't fit... but the GPs seem to look about the same size.

I know a lot of you have the 97-03 bodystyle, but here's what mine would look like: (sorry, too lazy to take pictures)

The '07 looks like a different shape, but I still like it. :D So would any other year have the larger chrome border like that but be the right shape?

The '08 looks like a pretty good fit, but I'm not quite sure.

Would any other years fit? If anyone could shed some light on this for me that would be awesome.
 


i think i speak for everyone when i say check out reflective concepts out thats how we all did our emblems whith custom colors

the white on is on a gxp which is a different bumber and emblem then the gray car which is just a base model

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't reflective concepts just make decals over the emblems? I'm getting my front painted and the guy that's doing it can order me the gm replacements fairly cheap. Although I was going to look into an overlay when I do get it :th_winking:

Didn't think that they might be different trims... So are you saying that you'd think the base model emblems would fit? Should all year models fit?

im not sure. you best bet would be to go to the dealership and see if they have them in stock for 97-03 and 04+ and then just compare them
 
Reflective Concepts makes a replacement arrowhead that replaces the factory arrowhead. More information about it can be found here, Arrowhead Replacement Grand Prix Reflective Concepts

I'd definitely recommend the replacement arrowhead over just the overlay they sell. I have the replacement arrowhead in reflective red, with chrome border. Here's a picture I have of mine, I'll try to get more up:

Huh. Well I might just go for one of those then... I was thinking about getting either the same thing you have or maybe get reflective black for the inner color.

Here come the dumb questions:
With it being a reflective color, is the red a solid color or does it look like, well, a reflector? If you know what I mean...
Are they good quality?
What are they made of? Plastic, right?
 
I have the reflective concepts replacement arrow head, I like it, have it in silver and CF one.

Well, could you maybe get some close up pics for me of it?

I am definitely getting chrome as the border. I'm guessing CF meant carbon fiber... and I was thinking of either getting that or reflective black as the center color. The only thing that concerns me is that I'd really like the inside color to be like the stock one... like how it's kinda rippled... or whatever. You can see what I mean if you look at the first pic in my first post.

So, I just want to know what the carbon fiber looks like... or if the reflective colors are just a flat color or something like the stock emblems.

the inside is not textured like the stock emblem
 
Reflective concepts makes good stuff. I have some items from them and always recommend them. I have also read on another forum that the G6 emblem fits. There is also this emblem. Its made by Third Shift Studios. Its the concept G8 emblem. Here are some pics of some guy that has the emblem.

That's the one I've been looking for, though I thought the guy with that car said he custom made his himself, and ended up selling it on eBay. I went to the Third Shift Studios website, and they don't have a listing for any applications aside from G8s/GTOs for this emblem. Do those fit the GP, or is the one in the pic above something else?

Email them with a picture and ask them that you want one. This guy bought two of them. One red and one silver. He sold the red one. They are pricey. Just giving you a heads up.
 


I do realize this is a SUPER old thread to dust off, but I need to know - are the '04 - '08 arrowheads the same size as the 97-03 ones?
 
I'd like to know as well, no one seems to be able to give a clear answer. :(
I was looking at some in a parking lot and it seemed like the later fronts were a little too big/angled, but the back emblems looked like they might match.

So many Pontiacs in this town, this thread's making me want to raid a parking lot for emblems :th_king-evil:.
 
There is a Vendor on gpona that Makes the concept arrow head. Have a black on black one myself
