Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

well i am gonna ruin the surprise lmao

heres what i have recently done.i went to the junk yard yesterday and attempted and finally, successfully dropped a 4t65e hd tranny outta a 00' GTP.it took around 2 hrs to drop the engine, tranny and subframe down to the ground.BUT....heres the fun part,hehe... i took the 4 bolts outta the tranny housing, the other 2 on the pass. side rear and went to pullin, pryin and snatchin on the tranny it wouldnt move!!i had to remove the dam rear exhaust manifold completely!!! and this bolt was there from the opposite side holdin the tranny on.i love my L67's but why put a bolt on the other side and make a person have to take an additional 6 hrs to get to it!! really and it was 98 degrees out there jus lettin ya know be4 u tackle a GTP tranny job people in case u didnt know it lol i didnt, and now I DO!!!and u do too!!your welcome haha.

Yeah, that bolt is usually called the b!tch bolt. You can get it without taking the manifold off, even while still in the car, by using a few extensions on your ratchet

im lost here?? where is the surprise? that was just a giant run on sentence. anyone care to elaborate?

That there is a bolt that you have to get at behind the rear manifold to remove the tranny? I am not sure, but I think most people knew this already.

yes the so called "***** bolt"....but if he dropped the whole cradle and everything why was it such a "*****"?

I don't think he thought of just using extensions and then an air ratchet? Thats what I did and literally took 15 seconds.

well first off,it was a surprise to me because my haynes repair manual said nothing about this bolt and also,i did drop the cradle and being familiar with the grand prix gtp tranny might be different in removing than the regal gs or others in some ways i dont know exactly.but, this car was a junk car in the middle of the salvage yard with no way for air tools people.all i am saying is if you think your gonna drop it out "easily".try it some can but that so called "***** bolt" lived up to its name lol.but,i tried the extentions and could not get behind the manifold nor get a wrench in the small opening so it was not that hard after the manifold removal.and it was longer than 15 seconds and my run on sentence is for viewing purposes so theres the surprise.

yeah if I'm going to a salavage yard I'm bringing my truck with the air compressor and torches in the bed. **** screwing around with **** just cut it off.
