Lookie what came in the mail a couple days ago.

PCM will be here in a day or 2 so no rush with that yet, and wiring harness looks complete, so I'm excited to get started.

alright. LOOONG TIME since my last update, and I apologize for leavin any1 who might have been interested in this swap hangin. </3
So far, this is what I've gotten done (not much from what I can tell)
-I'm doing away with my wiring harness and stock PCM and going MegaSquirt-II
-Cut away my electronic throttle body and transferred the TPS over
-Fabricated the innerds of the throttle body to run by wire
-
-Finished a great majority of the side body work by patching up body panel holes
and banging out what dents i could get at before body-filling
Right now, I'm in need of the locations of a couple wires. I went by a Series II wiring diagram as best I could, but there are some major differences in wiring I quickly discovered. hehe. Here is what I'm still needing (short list, preoccupied atm, so can't list everything hehe).
-Heated O2 sensor
-Fuel Pump relay
I'll post some more pictures once I get more work done. I'm really excited and anxious to see if my throttle body is going to function properly. I did NOT want to go back to my 3100-sized TB. I want my full 3" diameter inlet/outlet! rofl. Lemme know you guys' thoughts so far and any feedback/suggestions you may have. Thanks for readin, and sorry again to keep every1 hangin. <3

I realized I never posted information or pictures from the swap here, so here's a bit of an update from the last time I posted here. The swap fit like a glove! CV shafts fit right in the tranny, engine mounts sat right down. The only thing i'll need are new exhaust headers. it's about 3" off from the original outlet so that shouldn't be too difficult to work with.

Alright. I wish i knew how to resize the pictures for forum posts, but here are a couple more body shots. Both front and rear bumpers are still off, but should be back on shortly. left the sideskirts on just cus i was lazy and didnt feel like taking them off right now. The hood isn't bolted on. i just threw it on top to show how it looks on the body

yea. that was actually a little over a year ago I'd have to say. it's been a long time since I've had this much time to start up on my project again.
I'm excited to get the ball rollin again. And as a quick update, for those of you who were fortunate enough (if you call it that) to see my rear bumper before, I've done some work to it so now it doesn't stick out nearly as much and have more ground clearance near the ground, and it matches up with the wheel well near perfection. Once my camera battery charges up again, i'll be sure to take some pictures of it propped up into place again.

Awesome work man, the ole 3.1 sounded almost like my 3.4DOHC when u were razzing it(i got no resonator and dynomaxes)...The 88-96 prixs are my favorite. Someday when i make better money a SC 3800 is going in my car. You put alot of work into this, thumbs up.

Alright, as of lately, this front bumper is becoming my hellion child of the week. As of now, it mounts perfect, but the bottom of the bumper flares outward about an inch and a half or so past the wheels so it looks pretty horrible. Ill have pictures of what i mean in a couple days. I'll hope to have the front bumper done by the end of the week sunday. Im learning all over again about how much I hate doing body work. :'(

Alright. It's now 0040 in the morning on thursday, and a lot of progress has been made on the front bumper. It no longer flares out near the bottom nearly as much and is much more rigid than before. Pictures below are what the car looks like as of now. you can tell on some of the older pictures how annoying the front bumper was having sticking out more than an inch past the wheels.
On a side note: the patches of missing body kit were damaged area's of fiberglass that I've cut out to repair
This one you can really see how much the front bumper was molded wrong for this model of GP.
Some fiberglass work that I did to remedy the situation (i haven't begun sanding yet)
Snap of the rear bumper lines (not completely secured yet)
had to move the speakers out of the way (they're not going in the GP)

ALRIGHT, A milestone has been made in my garage at 3:35am haha.
Hooked up everything I have to it right now. Ignition, Fuel, Power, MegaSquirt-II board, and we're ready to crank this sucker.
Here's what we got so far:
Configured the EMS board to go with my engine. Set up injection properties, TPS, temp sensors, all that good stuff. As soon as the TunerStudio started, was a snap to adjust the TPS accordingly, and the temp sensors automatically detected their proper values (MAP, IAT, all that good stuff).
During cranking, it made a HORRID screeching sound (metal on metal), so a look at the starter, and it was discovered there wasn't a starter bolt in place, so stole one from the old engine, and jus like magic, fixed.

This is my issue now. After cranking, we discovered that there is an ignition issue. Unscrewed the spark plugs to make sure the injectors are squirtin (which they are), and there is proper fuel pressure (...i have the red eye to prove it when I unscrewed the fuel line expecting a faulty regulator).
Sorry that the image i made is a little small in the text, but basically, I have the Cam and Crank "Sensors Ign Pos" wires spliced together and into Pin 24, and the "Sensors Grnd" spliced together and into Pin 2. And from the module, i have the "IG CTRL" wire into Pin 36 on the MSII board. Any suggestion from any1 who knows electrical would be very helpful. I'll post the Megasquirt wiring diagram as well for reference.

...that is all I have to say. Haha. I'm very happy to have gotten this far! I am going to need to clean up the engine bay and put the radiator back in if I'm gonna get it to idle properly. Lemme know what you guys think so far.
