Could a stock 02 GTP beat a stock 02 Nissan Maxima?



Get a 3" Downpipe and U-Bend Delete, make your own intake and get a 180* T-Stat. Should hurt him bad off the line and through the 1/4. After that good luck as those VQ engines pull like no ones business after 100 ;) For a V6 they pull lol
 
gtps run out of breath above 100 mph....race from 30-90 or a dig to 100 you'll take em go above 100 and he'll reel you in....
 


Depends if this is the 3.0L or the 3.5L. The 3.0L you should take him like no other. the 3.5L is going to kill you up top, definitely if it has the 6 speed. But low down you'll have the torque to get things moving.

its an 02 so it has the 3.5 VQ motor...

Yeah the VG30DE that was in the pre-gen Maxipad was the 3.0 DOHC...they quit making it in '99 with the Maxima SE and switched to the VQ35DE...

Yeah but don't feel too bad...those cars were pretty damned quick. I got waxed by one with a catback and a short shifter when I had a U-Bend Delete and Intake...pretty sad...
