• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Newbie to the world of FWD and FI

Greetings to all. I'm not new to cars, but I'm new to the idea of 'moddin FWD and FI vehicles. I was building cars back in the day of small-blocks, Holley carbs and Limited Slip 8.5 rears. Truth is, I'm really lost on the new stuff. It's been too long.............

and just what is a dig anyway? Is it what we used to call the 'hole'?

I'm really looking forward to learning from the members here. Please have patientce with me, I'll ask a lot of stupid questions.

I just got my hands on an 03 GTP with 68k miles. I'm not sure how much I want to 'play' with it as it's my daily driver and all I've got. Relaibility takes precedent over performance. For now.........

Thanks in advance for your help.

Welcome to the community.

My Daily driver runs low 12's. Reliable as can be :)

YAHOO!! Another '03!! You'll come to find out tuning them sucks but everything else is awesome. Plus we get the stronger transmission :D Pics??

thanks for the welcome!

stronger tranni? really? Tell me more. God, I hope so. I need this car to last a while!! lol.

I'm dropping the pan and changing the filter on Sat. Not sure if it's been done yet.

I'll get some pics asap. Nothing special. All stock.

Yup, the deal is they were supposed to go to the '04 body style in '03 with the stronger 4th shaft and different valve body, but didn't get around to it so they slapped it to the L67 and threw it in the '03's ;)

I see. Way cool. On the Summit site the 4t60e and the 4t65e take the same filter. I hope so. It would suck to have to walk to the parts store just to choke the guy behind the counter for giving me the wrong parts!!!:th_sick1:

Thanks for the info. Guess I got a better deal than I thought!

All transmissions in the supercharged cars have the ''HD'' tansmission.

Thanks. That's comforting. Not that I plan on driving it hard enough to know the difference between HD and non-HD, but it's nice to know it's there.
