99 accord V6 coupe vs. 00 gp gt sedan

I raced my friend in a 99 accord v6 coupe today. 205hp same as mine, I lost by less than a fender. Not bad considering my car being a 00 gp gt sedan with 2 50lb 12" subs and box in the trunk all together makes my car weigh abt 500lbs more than his plus I weigh abt 75lbs more than him. I was beating him by 3/4 car the whole way unil the last 150 feet when his top end dominated mine and he just started to pull. We ran again and it was even closer but he still won.
 


Yeah, but laugh all you want...that VTEC is what won....when it kicked in those things have way better top end...when you drop the weight and start modding you won't have to worry...by the time his top end will kick end you'll be long gone.
 
Yea the weight makes a pretty big difference plus after the race he popped his trunk n his subs were out too makes even bigger difference. He has a hai and I have a fwi those r the only mods so far. Should be getting a downpipe soon tho and hopefully a intense pcm this summer.
