hey guys i noticed once my car warms up i have a low idle and near stalling condition when i stop at lights....it also does this when i turn the steering wheel, hold the power window switch, or switch on the headlights, the idle will fall then come back up and it does this continuiously if im stopped at a light...but in park it doesnt do this unless i use the accessories stated before pwr str etc....im lost, ive cleaned the iac, my voltage reads 14.6V all the time, i have no vac leaks, could it be a bad maf with no code? i have no codes....its pissing me off it never stalls but comes damn near close....makes my car vibrate and shudder obnoxiously at lights:th_angry-teeth:

Re: low idle....

Get some solid mounts. That should help make more vibrations. You can worry about your new found ones and forget your old ones.

Re: low idle....

That's normal operation. I haven't seen a properly working 3800 behave otherwise.

its normal behavior for a 3800 to nearly stall and shudder when stopped and turning the wheel while stopped? :th_wtf: it never used to this it literallly shudders like its going to stall my lights dim and everything....

haha its not the vibrations that are pissing me off its the near stallling i dont think a normal behaving 3800 sits at a light and dips under 500 rpms....and my car doesnt handle deceleration right either....could it be a bad cps? would that set a ses light?

check all the wires throughout your car, the same thing happened to me in my 3100 and it was because my sub wires had the coating rub off, and it was grounding itself out through my car. May not be the problem but it was worth a shot :)

as for it setting a ses light, mine never did. but then again my ses light comes on if i go over 60 then slow down and put my foot on the break.

Well, you didn't really emphasize the vibrations and drops to under 500 in your first post. ;)

I'd start with cleaning your IAC. Cheap and easy to do.
