• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

zzp or slp

slp's tend to make a ticking sound. ZZP's are really nice. If i was going to spend that much $$ i would get zzp's.

Previous owner of ZZP's I would not buy them again. The SLP's seem to be very nice.

The flange on the outlet of the headers did not seal well at all. Mainly because the width of the flange wall is too this. Therefor it blew gaskets all of the time. The crossover also leaked.

And stainless does not stay good looking for long at all.

I love my TOGs. IMO they were the best and there still the best headers availible for these cars. Glad I lucked out and got mine....

Reptile didn't seem to have those issues. Plus you had one of the first sets. I've seen a lot of these installed over on GPONA and on NAIOA and never seen those issues on any others. Everyone says they're install easy and seal the first time.

If you're gonna spend that kind of money get the ZZP headers. If you can find a set of SLP headers used that don't have warped flanges, then get those if you like.

Reptile has my old ones :)

But yes I did have one of the first sets. Another issue was that they supplied me with the wrong clamp size. The band clamp would not close all of the way so it leaked from there.

If you have seen a bunch installed then they must have corrected those small imperfections.

Yes Nick, Slip fit's do suck. I have never had an issue with ball and flange type fitting sealing. Not even the ones on the pacesetters.

i had a set of TOGS. easy intall, but mine were warped so they were hard to seal on the crossover.

got rid of them for my S&S (brand new) and they rock. super easy install and they sealed up the first time i put them on. i even opened up my engine bay one time and found one of my crossover bolts COMPLETELY out. not loose, but just sitting there in the bolt hole. STILL sealed up perfectly.

i do not like any of the slip fit design headers...which is all of them except TOGs or S&S.
