question about nitrous

i was looking into the zex nitrous kit that zzp offers... i never really considered nitrous before, and i was wondering if just a 55 shot is safe to run. I honestly have never been a fan of nitrous, but i was just wondering if i would be ok to run it and if there is anything else you need to run it?
 


You'd have to tune, tune, tune...personally I'd stay away from the bottle...it's for babies anyways ;)

I'd agree with EVERYONE^^ LOL

You can drop to a 3.4" or so bone stock with a Meth Kit IMO...might wanna get rid of the U-Bend though...

i bet i know a few 12 second "lightly modded" prix's out there because of the fact that they spray their car.

our motors will take a 100 shot easily when properly tuned.

yea im probably not gonna do it. my parents were like YOUR NOT PUTTING NITROUS ON YOUR CAR! anyway. if i went meth, would i still be able to run an intercooler later on when i start modding this thing seriously?

yes. you can use both.
 
nitrious refills get expensive. 50$ for a 10 pound bottle. then once you run out your detuned. yea it will make some fast passes but i think meth would be a little more user friendly in the long run.
 


meth is about $3.50 a gallon if you know where to find it, but youll NEVER see the gains that you can with spray.
 
true. nitrious is a great bang for the buck.

its just gay when that bottles runs out tho and now your slower than the other guys, when you could just poor more meth in it, plus meth wont run out near as fast.

if your going to the track looking for some good times, sure spray it. but again it sucks when that bottle runs out, id rather have the power all the time.
 
yea i think meth will be the way to go.. but first im saving up for headers, and a tuner which i think will be important down the line

lol to that comment... i could out run most cammed setups without spray and outrun pretty much all the m90 setups with it on just a rocker'd car. :th_scratchhead: I can daily drive a high 12 second car and have an 11 second car whenever i need it. Nitrous FTW, who goes to the track expecting to make 12-15 11 second passes anyways? I made 5 12.0 passes on a 3/4 empty bottle with no bottle heater right after another. Each one with 115-116 mph trap speeds.

nitrious is a great bang for the buck. no arguing that. it does net some great power.

but at the same time, ive seen people out riding around run out of a bottle in less than a few hours. 50$ a refill will get expensive. im not saying dont do it, but there is more conservitive ways to get more power.

the guy has a pretty much stock car, so spray it every time he wants to go faster???? or add some meth and always be faster???

im just trying to shed some light on the subject other than the half ass comments most people give :th_shakinghead2:

and yes i have seen plenty of people run out of the bottle....

im not against it, just saying...

HOLY CRAP!! i just read your original post...a 55 shot? i would run that on a straight up stock GTP and not care. that is easy. bolt it on and run.

hell, i would start with a 75 and quickly move to a 100 shot if it were me.
