Looks like Ace Hardware carries it and there is an Ace Hardware just down the street.
 


Well, again, I live in po dunk Oklahoma and for as big as this city is there is very little here. Conoco-Phillips has their grubby little paws in this town and it dont seem they are very interested in making this place competitive with places like Tulsa, Oklahoma City, etc.

The one ACE hardware we have is about 10 miles or so to the north and Ive been in there and you can almost spit across the store.

haha, I think I been to Bartlesville back when I was a field tech.
 
It could be such a wonderful place.

Toasty, I plan on buying a new internal connector for the tranny from one of the vendors. Im not sure what the best plan of action would be, but this stuff seems well suited to keeping those connections in good shape.

i think getting ahold of a little plastic syringe would be ideal for that.


though, one has to wonder, if you used dielectric grease on the contacts, and sealed all the contaminants out that way, would the connections really have that much of a problem staying in good shape?
 


I dont think so, and what is not clear to me is whether it is the connections of the internal harness that get messed up over time being exposed to the heat, fluid and such or if it is the wiring itself.

Either way, being able to rule out the contacts and connectors themselves would be nice.

might have to have trannyman's input on this aspect, but as far as i was aware, it was the wiring itself.
 


Not to start a problem, but wouldn't adding a conductive grease around the spark plugs help to induce a short or a jump, cause if electricity can flow over the porcelain it will...

I know you were gonna use it in your transmission, I just want to warn those reading this about putting a conductive material in places that it is gonna cause problems

I guess that would depend on how liberal you are with it and what kind of condition your plug boots are in. But you bring up a good point though.

..... wouldnt neccessarily put it at the plug end though. -- not really noticed corrosion a problem on that side.
 
heck if someone wanted to be doubly protected, they could use the ox-gard in the pins of a connector, and cover that with dielectric grease before assembling the connector.
