I have a 2001 Pontiac grand prix gt 3.8 Liter n/a and i recently changed plugs and put in ac delco rapid fires and msd 8.5mm wires. I had a lot of misfiring problems took out the ac delcos and put autolite iridium xp's in and everything was fine but what i wanted to know is if anyone noticed a difference when changing wires to msd.

Well there are a lot of other factors that come into play as far as why your times may have been different.



MSD's are one of the lowest resistance wires out there. There good wires. But I also run stockers. You can't beat the liftime warranty and 35 bucks for a set at your local auto parts store.
 
the only good thing about the expensive, big wires are that you can rip them on and off your car nearly forever before you accidentally bend a contact or two, which you can usually repair with a needle nose pliers. stock ones will just straight up break.
 
i got the prj's from their site. No, i didn't buy them because i thought my car would go faster. I bought them because im running cheap coppers and they need to be changed every 2-5k.
 


well like i was saying i didn't expect a difference it just kind of happened. I was hoping someone could enlighten me with a possible explanation, but idk i had fun making them with that POS crimper tool.
 
You made the MSD Wires? Could have bought them specifically for your car but I guess that works too...
