Engine Temperature Normal Range...

Hi All,
I have noticed that my engine temp gauge reads about 80 degrees when driving. It climbs to about 90-95 when idling... now I know that it will fluctuate some when driving, but that seems a large difference. I've seen it stay pretty low for a while when driving between the 70 and 80 mark. Someone mentioned that my thermostat may need to be replaced, but I thought I'd check here for additional opinions.

I've only had the car for about a week, so I'm not sure what to expect from it gauge wise yet. :)

Where are you getting those readings from? An aftermarket gauge?

These readings are in *F correct?



That is not normal operating temps. What's the factory gauge read?
