I have my heads and cam waiting to be put on! Would I need to wait on the tune due to the cam and heads cause im pretty sure it will jack with the air ratio blah blah. But I know I could be wrong :th_winking:

LOL You can start it for S&G's with the cam...I aint guaranteeing anything but it MIGHT not live too long :p

if youre not knocking then who cares if you have a tune or not. beat on it.

a tune will just make the most of your setup.
 
well i gotmy wideband and i have the EFILive hooked up...but it just scans..rmm well would ithurt to put the headers on?
 


dont **** up like i did got a new engine beat on it a couple times with a new cam in it and no tune thought id be ok went and got it tuned 0 kr running perfect and three hours later it blew up

something else was wrong then. you cannot blow up a motor when it isnt knocking.
 
Plans..just something to play around in. I have my "fast" car. Just want a quick DD with the mods im putting on should be in the high 12's well...if I can launch right! LOL
 
no i had 0 kr after the tune but i what i think happend is the bottom end got damaged before the tune i had no scanner so i had no idea if it was knocking or not so i think even after i had that tune the engine just couldnt handle it anymore

if you have heads and a cam then headers are almost necessary. after that there isnt much left unless you want to go intercooled, but if all youre looking for is 12s then youre set.
 
Ya lol I know that :th_peaceout:. I really dont wanna put alot into it because I still might do the turbo set up. But with me going off to work im not really going to have much time for anything! Working FOR sure 6days a week 12-14hrs a day!!! :th_yawning:
 
Well the only thing you need to do for a cam is increase the idle (some do some don't) and a MAF tune. But that's about it. You could get away with it but just don't get on it a lot enless you know what is going on knock wise.


You'll need more fuel with the cam. And your trims will be off.
