cylinder heads

club of used to own a gp
This is kinda a noobish question but, im looking at my cylinder heads I got from ed and I can't tell which ones front and which ones rear. How can I tell? they both look the same. Also is there any way to tell what year motor they came off of by the #'s engraved into the inside of them?

it would, but probably a scream someone would give off before there about to be shot (kaboom) but he is going the cam/intercooler route so maybe :D

I have yet to hear my M90 whine since I'm going gentle as I work the tune. But I love the soft whistle during normal driving. :)

I miss those 1/4 throttle whines i had with my old buick. You started with an L67 base tune? Are you using your L36 pcm or reflashing a L67 pcm for your gearing/fine tuning?

The L36 PCM and L67 PCM are physically the same. I used a L67 file onto my original PCM (got a spare just in case it bricks) and I'm working out the gearing stuff. Proving a little more than involved than I originally thought.

Maybe i should change the title of my post, getting way off topic LoL. I was thinking of buying a "top-swapped" file from intense and loading it up on hptuners, and going from there, trying to make a 0* kr safe tune. You think that would be a good base to start with?

Probably would. I need to go to my MAF table and increase everything 7500 and up by about 10% to be safe for when I do get in to PE. I can always bring it back down.

I heard the whine for the first time tonight. Just barely got into boost (about 109kPa on the MAP). It was nice. :)

More tuning is necessary though.
