• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Heads

Gasket match everything. And DO NOT take much if any off of the intake runners because they are paper thin already. Just polish them if you must do something to them.

Also you can reshape the exhaust ports to a circular shape. Round exhaust ports are the best. Google it for some intresting info on that.If you go all out like I did and polish the combustion chambers then you'll need to be real carefull of the valve seats and valves. Take you're time. After you're done finish everything up with a wire wheel brush on a high speed air gun. Then everything will be smooth as glass.

Thanks, I appreciate the advice on it. I figure I'd do my own instead of paying for someone else to do it. Besides there's also the satisfaction factor you get with doing your own work on your car.

Not a problem man. Glad I could help out.

From what I've learned in my fluid dynamics class, the round port should provide the least resistance to flow. My heads are ported round because of that.

I need to do this, I P&P my Talons heads and it was a piece of cake, just time consuming.

I should start selling P&P built heads ;)

HOW DARE YOU CRITICIZE BEASTMASTER 4000!!!!! He was so great!

DSMs will always eat GTPs.... sorry guys

AWD or FWD? i would see you beating my pants off with an AWD one, but a FWD would really be depending upon what is done. i have seen those get to 400hp pretty easy, but i also hear about them being broken every other week. most people dont know how to work on cars anyway. any car can be made fast with the right amount of knowledge and money.

AWD... and mine was incredibly reliable... to me DSMs got a bad wrap because they've always been affordable, even when new only $16k... so every 16 year old fresh on the street buys one and doesnt take care of it. They then say the cars a piece of junk because they don't want to do the maintenance it needs but still want to drive it like it's a race horse!

Maybe I was just lucky...
