So just got my car back after 3 weeks (having my engine replaces and put on a vs cam and headers) and when i slightly even go WOT every couple thousand RPMs it starts to hesitate...... im gonna try cleaning the MAF and just for background info i have no cat now and my rear o2 sensor is no longer there i believe they put a simulator in or just filled in the hole i have to ask tomorrow but do you guys have any other ideas?

rear o2 wont make a difference. it would just throw a code to say your cat sucks.

a scan would REALLY help out here.

Have ever heard about the issues with the '02 and up GP's? They have something programmed into the PCM to where if you try to delete the rear o2 then you will have issues...crappy MPG's, other issues...there is a thread about it...somewhere...

what? ive never heard about that..

well got it read and it is ...... a random misfire .... W..T...F new plugs and wires are recently new im praying its not coils and not the module but what else would it be grrrr but funny thing is 02 sensor code didnt pop up i think they put a simulator cause my gas mileage is still at 25 mpg

And with the PCM i have even though i know it doesnt have the greatest rep around here do you guys think it already compensates for the o2 and than the no cat ?

well when i went WOT the light started flashing and the car wasnt getting enough power so idk im gonna look more into it tomorrow

Umm...didn't that just happen to someone on here and...poof?

Are they new plug wires too? I'd still check the coil packs and see...OH...you might check the bolt going into the bottom of the coil pack. Mine was loose when I installed my rockers. Took it out for a drive and I thought my car blew up. Nope...just not tight haha

well lets hope not poof its a brand new engine lol ill see if its down all the way but the rest of the time as long as im not beating on it it runs perfect

a FLASHING misfire is more than a random misfire. that means it is hardcore knocking on at least one cylinder. which cylinder did it say it was on?

have you had any kind of tuning for the cam yet?

when i read the code it said multiple cylinder misfire, so it would make sense if the coils werent tightened down all the way and no i have no had a tune yet just got the car today but there is a group meeting here on sat and one of the guys does tuning so i was gonna talk to him about it

why would you go WOT without some sort of tune for a cam? thats ludicrous. do you have any idea where your fueling is or what your timing looks like?

ok lesson learned from my understanding it was a small enough change in the grind it wouldnt make much of a difference but now i know im gonna cool it till i can get it figured out on sat

it runs good like i said when im not pushing it so tune is coming asap im learning as i go and i also found the thread about deleting the rear o2 its stickied in the tuning section
