so i got this grand prix a few days ago and i am out crusining it trying to get to know her a lil when i see a buddy of mine who just happens to own a 06 4x4 dodge hemi i pull up next to him and the first words out of his mouth is wanna race so i fig for giggles lets do it i mainly to see what this thing could do well i drop it in 1st light hits green and im gone i need less to say i didnt beat him by very much but it was enough inch or mile winning is winning hes a lil up set about it and wants a rematch but im not ready for that yet:th_thumb-up:

It seems every guy with a Dodge wants to race. I got smashed in my mustang by a very well built diesel rig, but since I got the GTP I've had no problems. A truck that I never had the chance to race but wanted to was the Chevy 1500 SS. They never want to run, but they cruise all damn day. Oh well.

Welcome to the world of Pontiac. First kill is always nice.

good kill. you really need to watch out for the diesels. It dont take much to go from 300hp to 600hp . Trust me i have help mod a few of them. Always race from a dig. even with all that power still have to get a 8000 pound rig moving. From a roll they are deadly.

A chipped diesel can be a monster. I had a Ford F350 Superduty give me a good run light to light on my ZRX1200R. It was an eye opener.

I ran a diesel at the track once. Three times back to back I won two he won one. The one I lost I had bad wheelspin off the line. He was a 4x4 2500 with big off road tires but was still running 13.6 (this was obviously long before the Whipple). This was at LACR at 2700 feet and probably 90 degrees.

I hated the loss because I had to drive through all that nasty black smoke...gahhh...that sucked.

Well my last vehicle was a rc sb 05 black on black hemi with a power programmer, cai kit, exhaust and at the time the biggest cam that comp offered in that motor and it ran 14.3 in the quarter. Not too shabby. But I alsp traded that truck in for my gtp so there u go
