also i wish i had video from the track day (o well another one is comming up soon, tdc probably saw it) iroc camaro stands it up all the way to the bumper in first, im talking strait up, drops it back down then lifts the mofo all the way back up again in second!!!! with all that bounching around and what not he still ran a 9. ill deff be ready with camera next time
 
ha who said anything about 5.0's??? 5.0's have very stoute blocks, and with a good set of heads, cam and intake, like lsx motors come with. 5.0's are plenty capable. in 91 they were coming from the factory with forged pistions. pretty good for back in the day.
 


gt 500 can do nearly that with stock heads and cam. kb of course. not all motor, but different people chose to do different things. it still makes power.

gm does design and produce some outstanding motors. but you wont find that motor in any production car. you will find a modular v8 in one tho and they can handle that power output.
