Changing Spark Plug Wires, HELP!

I was planning on doing an ignition coil and spark plug wire swap today but had to nix the wires because of time and those dang things seem to be seized onto the plugs! Is there some special trick to getting them off the plugs or do I just need to pretend I am a contortionist and keep pulling straight until they come off or I can't use my fingers anymore?

twist and pull then take a break swear at them and pull again. Don't be surprised to break some of the wires. Also make sure to tilt the engine forward for the backs.

I took some pliers clamped down onto the top of the boot and basically used the nose of the pliers as a handle to pull the boots off. Remember to rock the engine forward to get it away from the firewall. One of the easiest ways is to have someone push the car forward while its in park and then hit the parking brake to keep the engine tilted forward.

I also had to extend the handle on my ratchet to get enough torq to get the 12 year old plugs out. Be very careful if you have to use this method. A broken spark plug in your engine is no fun.
