looks great so far, keep it up. im really curious on where the exhaust/downpipe is going to go since the turbo's way down there in the fog light region. i guess gotta wait for more pics eventually.

Either out the side in front of the wheel or just straight down in front of the wheel, only place left. It would pretty much be an open dump wastegate also.

Did you already say what you figured out to do for the turbo oil since the turbo was low or not, can't remember if you said or not...

Just looking at all the intake/hotside piping, makes this whole setup look easy... but then ya realize we have a downpipe to deal with!

Is that 3" going from the crossover to turbo?

It is 3" going to the turbo. the "out" pipe as I now call it is 4.5" off the back end of the turbo and out in front of the tire...through the bumper. that is not on the car yet as they are currently plumbing in the Wastegate pipe to it...

the oddball stuff left to do is add the 2 o2 sensor bungs. 1 for normal, and 1 for my AEM wideband sensor in the air vents in the dash. (pics of this coming soon as well).

after that.. well. is up to me. The shop that it is at now is not charging me an arm and a leg. the fullu tig welded stainless J bend pipe.. I managed to get for 90 bucks off ebay. then about 300 in labor to weld it all up..to the turbo(tricky part) It does look all easy, but it is VERY time consuming!!!!! I cant count how many hours I have into this from the start 4 years ago.

But, I now have goose bumps... she is ALMOST ready to turn the key and break her in.

The Wastegate pipe is going to look like a spiral staircase down through the hole where the pipe goes through...to get to the turbo. it will look pretty cool when it is on there.

I am making up a bracket now for the PCM, and making up a heat shield as well. I am not longer going to wrap it, but sent it all out to get coated.... all my wiring will be wrapped in heat sheething(sp?) I am also making my own custom hood. I have it in my head, but have yet to draw it out. let heat out, and cool air in to the critical areas.

Are you not worried about the turbo cooking your bumper cover?

Looks cool but if I was going to do a weird custom turbo setup Ide have done it a bit different, heh. Looks tits though.

I actually do plan on selling my kit and making my own... we will see...

nope, not worried about it. PLENTY of air will be flowing through the area to help keep things somewhat cool. plus I am sending everything out to be ceramic coated...so it will help a little. Plus the turbo blanket......

glad to see its coming along pretty well.
Two things that popped out while reading tho

Any reason for the 3" over 2.5" with that long of a run, even with nitrous?

yes. the 3" pipe was better to form around the T4 flange connecting to the turbo. It was dang near perfect...just had to crush the pipe into a square and weld. I wanted as little welds as possible. Had I used the 2.5" pipe, I would have had to cut and weld more onto it.:)

Well, I had a bit of bad news. the Out pipe that I had made up would not work witht he slicks.... it was toooooo big. So. I am having the shop make a new one. here is a crappy pic witht he front bumper on.

Here is it with the tire straight:

Here is with the 10" slick turned all the way to the right... it just BARELY hits the pipe. it will all be sand blasted and then ceramic coated...

Here are the latest and greatest....

Here are the pipes befoe ceramic coating:

Here is the exhaust exit after ceramic coating:

The rest of the pipes will be ceramic coated this week, and the bracketry for the PCM will be made up as well. SO. she is nearing completion!!!!!!

figured why not? The exhaust comes right off the turbo as it is....so it IS going to be loud... whats a little more sound at WOT?

The PCM mounting has been done, as well as the ceramic coating of all the pipes.

the only thing thta is left is to sump the fuel tank(out of the 2000), make up fuel lines, and mount the fuel pump.

then she is done...well besides tuning. I plan on driving it to Branson this year...much like I had wanted to do with it last year.

I just need to have some time to get everything done. I have been headed everywhere for my new career.

In this past 2 weeks I have been to Ohio, Michigan, Maine, Ontario Canada, now I am back to Maine. I will be in New York this next week, then on to Georgia, and then the week after to California. SO. I am just a bit....tired. lol.

I honestly dont see why it shouldnt be done here in 2 months.... just a matter of having time to do it.
