My new aluminum motor mounts

Well, since it doesn't fall into a certain category and we don't have a general forum I just decided I would post this here.

Anyways.... I recently got a hold of a set of aluminum motor mounts with shorter dog bones than the stock ones. The bolt pattern was different so I had to drill two new holes for each mount. No big deal really, not to mention it looks much better than the cheap excuse for a mount these come with stock.

I also plan to polish them in the near future and powdercoat the dog bones white. Thats why they're dirty at the moment.

Tell me what ya think. :D

They look good What car are they from? Did you buy them from a dealer? It looks like they use the rubber mounts not the polly ones right. From the side it looks like they only mount to the top not the bottom like the stock ones?

Aren't these the ones you got for next to nothing from a van or something? I bet you can really feel the engine now.

there from some 3100 vehicles, i got mine from a 3100 van.. i got mine for the same reason street did and that was to illiminate all the stupid holes in the core support for a smoother look...

Nice... but what's up with the intake lol.

Whats wrong with it? lol

Yeah I got them at the junkyard out of a van. All I know for sure is they come on the newer Pontiac vans (Montana/Trans Sport). They have the same mounts the stock Grand Prix ones had in them but they look much better, are stronger, and came with the shorter dog bones.

And yes as if I couldn't already feel my ridiculous hard shifting transmission at wide open throttle, I can now. lol :D

Those will look really nice after some polishing. Nice work...

Yep, should look great when I get them done. I just need to get the GTP out of the garage and go do something with it. Been to busy with the Land Rover lately.

I remember you saying a long time ago you were going to do this. I like the finished product, they look pimp.

My parents have a Montana Van, and have seen these mounts before. Didn't think of running them, want to keep mine, put too much into them as it is ya know.

Nice work.

The mounts themselves are fine stock. Still using rubber bushings. Like syp said on CGP. I thought you meant actual solid motor mounts. Not the MM housing.

As far as being stronger, how so?? Will this help people stop breaking their stock ones?? LOL. Juuuuuuust kidding.
