Just payed 2500 for a 2002 gt. Hud and everything. Cold ac. 152k mile 1 owner. Fun and comfortable to drive.

Things that I have done.
New front lights.
New tires

Soon to do.
New calipers and drilled/slotted rotors with eBC pads.
All led lights inside and out
Top swap after the brakes are done.
When doing the top swap I will do several other mods while it is apart that way I dont have to tear it apart later to do them.
Swap passenger side seat for a driver seat so both are heated.

Things already done when i got it.
Msd wires.
New oem coils
New rims.

It would be easier to swap the heating pads into the passenger side and wire it up. Putting a drivers side over there will have the buckle on the wrong side.

You could also swap in the GXP seats and then not be sitting on what equates to a milk crate and actually have some support, lol... Of all the things I've done to my 00 GT the interior swap is the best comfort-wise. Now when I get in my brother's 01 GT w/ stock seats and drive it for a while my back starts to complain. And yes, there is a way to make both the front seats heated if you have some wiring skills. There is a write-up here somewhere that shows how to do it.

What FordMan77 said. I couldn't find GXP seats locally at the time, but I did swap 2004 leathers seats from a comp-g in mine. The fronts were a direct swap-in other than the wiring. The rears required a little work. IIRC I needed tin snips to cut the openings on the floor pan for the seat bottom & I had to drill out two mounting holes for bolting the seat back in. It wasn't that difficult and yes well worth it for the better bolstering in the fronts & dual heated seats. The only downside imo is you sit slightly higher in the 7th gen seats and loose a little legroom in the back, but you also gain a full 60/40 folding rear seat instead of that silly little pass-thru

This should give you some direction as to the wiring Wiring the 04+ passenger heated seat in your 97-03 Grand Prix
