Key Fob programming question

Has anyone ever tried to program the keyfob with a CK-100 programmer? I bought one of the Dorman things and it would not work. The ck-100 is cheaper than a dealer and can be used over and over where the dorman thing is only good for 3 tries.

What does your VIN start with? Some of them you can just use the 30 minute relearn. According to CK100 site, it only supports up to 06 but it's probably a tossup?
