Whats the best fuel line hose clamps?

Hey guys I've had trouble with my feed line busting and leaking. I had to break the nylon fuel line when installing my intercooler and used high pressure fuel hose and standard screwdriver hose clamps but on 3 different occasions I've had leaks, and once a full blown disconnect, fuel sprayed everywhere. People have told me there are better clamps then those standard ones but I forgot what they were called. I'm also considering just converting to ss braided lines but that's about 150$ so I was willing to try any better clamps first. Thanks for your input guys.

They are called fuel injection hose clamps I had the same problem man I was lucky my car didn't catch on fire. Honestly I still worried about it like that I had it a few different ways but wasn't happy with it. The way I figured out how to do it now is probably in my opinion your best bet I bought some of that nylon 3/8" fuel line Dorman makes it in 10 foot rolls I connected that to a factory dorman 90 degree fitting that connects to the fuel rail like our cars are set up. Then I ran it down the fire wall and they make a compression fitting that uses a metal line on one side that I have running to my fuel filter then connects the nylon line to the other side and I haven't had any issues or worried about anything loosing up.

Thanks for your input man ill probably just try the clamps first and see how they hold up but if I have further problems ill try your full blown way. Ya I'm really surprised my e85 didn't catch fire when its dripping or spraying all over my headers. I feel extremely lucky. The first time it happened i went and immediately bought an in car fire extinguisher that I now have in the car but I'd rather just have everything not catch on for to begin with haha

Yupp I hear ya mine blew completely apart after I pulled into the garage and shut it off I walked by the car into the house I smelled gas pretty bad looked on the ground and it was covered in gas couldn't have happened at a better time lol. Then I went and spent 20 bucks on a fire extinguisher that is the size of a aerosol can it sits next to my seat always.

Haha wow that's similar what happened to me the first time before I knew to watch for it I was driving around town for probably 30 minutes and as soon as I pulled into a parking spot at my final destination the car just dies. Pop the hood and fuel everywhere. Ran into the nearest store and got a couple gallons of water to pour on the headers to cool them off. Then I went to home depot and bought the biggest reasonable extinguisher i could. I think its 2.5lb but the other times I just started up the car and I always let it idle for a minute or two unless I'm in a rush so I was just sitting there and start smelling fuel. First thought was maybe the wind was just blowing the exhaust towards me but then the smell got even more potent so I pop the hood and wallah fuel line dripping right onto my crossover. Yikes

Ss braided lines do look pretty amazing though. Either way ill probably upgrade them but my newest obsession is the cars audio. So I've recently added some good quality front component speakers with a 12" alpine type s and a jl audio 500rms amp. I have a rockford fosgate 300watt 4 channel waiting to go in for the speakers.

So that clamp and a rubber hose WONT WORK! What should be use is a compresssion fitting with reinforcing tube that slides inside fuel line then compresses OR the barbed fittings such as dorman sell with repair lines. The biggest issue is old line doesnt expand as it has gottten brittle due to age, fuel exposure. The biggest issue is they could possibly restrict fuel flow in a performance application. Many dont have tools for nylon fuel line repair. And doing it right is critical. I have an SUR&R fuel line kit that has proper parts to repair nylon lines. http://surrauto.com
Also rubber fuel injection hose , to me isnt properly rated for the higher pressure systems because the only way to connect it is slide it on smooth plastic line and clamp, thus depending on minimal friction contact to maintain its position.
