• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

(*&%!# Photobucket

SaukRapids

I can't car too good.
They musta started doing some pay to host thing. It's like $7/mo so *#$@ them. *#$@ them in the %@#

Pay to host a few photos or pay for Netflix or ABC Mouse for my kid?

I'll be moving pics off that turrible site, just turrible.

Looks they got a lot of people of this forum. I'm pretty pissed at them, I feel like I got scammed. Like some ransom-ware hit me or something. Holding my photos hostage from other websites, demanding payment. Bogus. I would be more willing to understand this if I were a business, somehow making money from these photos, or promoting my business using the photos, but I'm just a hobbyist.

Their most basic plan is like $7 (I think it's $10), but if you want 3rd party hosting as part of your account, it's $40 per month, or $400 if paid if one annual lump sum.

I have a bunch of pictures on there as well, but I could care less because that is how irritated I am with them. I've been using google drive for all my pictures now, and I have heard that amazon has a photo sharing feature now that I might look into.

Yeah, I'd seen that too, it's going to jack a lot of threads with some serious information! Their business model was in all probability failing and they sought new revenue generation. Can't blame them, but they should've sent an email to give you the opportunity first before going bonkers like that. For that reason only... They can't go play in traffic! Will be just another "has been"... Anyone remember "MySpace"?

Maybe a "How To "SGT" for those (like me) who don't know how to link pics from Google...

I'll post something when I get to my laptop.
Do you use google photos?
Syncing phone with computer with a google account is the way I do it after the photophuckit

K so, open google or google photos

It looks like the pictures will be smaller than usual but I don't rightly care.

I might break it up with Imgur if I need porno widesreen resolution

well this is better.
Right click on the photo from Google photos and select copy image address.
Paste that into our image URL box and add -tmp.jpg at the end of the url after no

I just moved all of my sh*t to Amazon Prime Photos. Comes with our Prime shiz.

Gonna post a random up quick. This is ethanol-free fuel I found in Waite Park, MN.

Works, I guess.

I just moved some stuff to google photos for now.

Looks like there's a thread in How-to for Google now.

Admittedly, Amazon is a bit tedious to set up. I accidentally closed the app, which stopped the auto-upload of like 200+ photos. Oops, lol. It comes at no additional cost over a paid Prime account.

It's under "Accounts and lists" tab > "Prime photos" which is right above Amazon Drive. Then find the Amazon Photos app in Play store. It's pretty spamtastic about this "Family Vault" business. There's a tricky button on the upper right of that screen you can close vs clicking "Start Now." Think I clicked it away enough times, it stopped, dunno.

I can see your pic, Sauk. Wow, there are still pumps with roller dials around ?

Lol, yeah. The Fuel Bank locations around town all have them old dial pumps. Went looking after someone said all fuel contains ethanol, including MN non-oxy recreational 91. Maybe that's true, but this definitely does not.

Where is the credit card slot, or does it take Speedpass & Samsung Pay ?...... lol. Do 5 guys run out and clean your windows, check your oil & air pressure... lol

I'd like to thank PB for many years of hosting many thousands of my pics for free, and remind everyone that notice was given well in advance of the change. People can only screw you over when you give them an opportunity to do so.

That particular station is next to the movie theater. It has tractor size overhangs, and a tiny booth. In that booth are two restrooms. The pay kiosk is ancient. Have to select pump number, there's no prices (except on Sonoco 110), and it only goes by gallon. It'll take cc or those super old cards with the slot-holes cut in that look like braille, lol.

The one downtown just has a row of pumps, no "roof" and no buildings. People stop there, get out, look around and just leave all the time. :th_laugh-lol2:

Matt your smokin crack

i got no notice at all, till pics stopped working for others, then mine took a crap as well.

Double check your inbox. I got the email on September 9. It prompted me to find another host site but their fine print indicated the same thing was planned there. Perhaps regulations have changed. Anyway no big deal for me because I wiped all three PB accounts clean awhile back. But if many of you are like me you probably don't read emails from Photobucket. I just happened to read the one about this.

i might have them set up on my junk email account.

Yep yep. I gotta say it rubs me the wrong way when people gripe about free things that they find useful. Did any of us really think it was forever?
