Popping noise when turning? What might it be?

Hey guys I recently just developed a pretty loud popping noise whenever I turn the wheel 75-100% lock in either direction. Not sure if maybe it's an axel. Maybe it's the rack and pinion that's also leaking ps fluid or maybe it's the lca? Thoughts?

My popping was the springs binding(SSCs).
I made spring isolators out of 1/2 ID clear vinyl hose.
Just did it this weekend. No more binding not a creak, pop or scrunch. Usually happened on cold or wet days.

Popping/cracking noises can come from bad CVs when turning
I called up my dad and asked him. He said it wasnt the cvs making noise because the popping noise will happen even when I'm not moving. Does that sound right?

Maybe if you are stationary and you move turn the wheels from side to side. If the CV is really bad I guess it might pop, but usually the popping noises get louder the faster and sharper you are cornering so doing it while stationary would be the least stress possible.

Do you see any grease coming off either CV? Mine flinged grease all the way up on the coolant overflow reservoir.

My passenger side seems to have a little grease around the boot but not anything crazy. My driver side is dry.

I've had bad sway-bar endlinks cause a popping noise when turning, especially when not moving or at slow speeds.

Same thing happen to me. The vertical (front) control arm bushing was bad. It was original bushing and was never replaced. This issue among some other suspension issues led me to rebuilding mostly everything. For control arms and bushings, I replaced the entire control arm with Moog brand.

I am in that process right now. I was actually wanting to ask what control arms to go with. I know the moog ones are supposed to be the best but they are also a pretty good chunk of change. So i guess my questions is there really that much of a difference between the moog and like acdelco? Do the moogs perform better or just have a better track record of longevity?
