Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

First of all I want to say thank you everyone in this forum for the solid advice iv got in the past from here. Shoutout to Scotty if he's still on here! Right now I'm looking at getting a cam for my 02 Gtp that's on a 3.2 gen 3 with an ssic headers etc.. and I'm looking at going with maybe an XP cam from zzp and was wondering what kind of modifications are really needed to run one valvetrain wise. I'm still rocking stock heads completely. Any advice it's greatly appreciated. My goal is a 2.9 pulley with adding on e85 if It came to that.

Iv been thinking about the s1x too. Just want to be able to change springs and maybe go to a double roller timing chain if that's all that I would need to run it. Are new pushrods and lifters required or just more of a recommendation?

130# springs, double roller, milled retainers, viton valve seals. Everything else can be stock, and you'll make good power.

Wait. What ?
tear down engine to install a double roller timing chain just so he can run 130# springs on a stock head/cam set up?

get a vs or s1x cam instead of the xp cam and still be okay with your valvetrain w/o spending too much.

Still need at least 90# Springs. Probably 105# for the s1x.

I wouldn't do a double roller or Springs bigger than 105# with just an xp.

S1x and xp are almost the same cam. Both should have 130# springs. You'll make a decent amount more power with 130's while being nicer to your valve train.

So I spent months researching threads here and on other 3800 sites before doing my cam a couple of years ago. I never heard anything about using 130's with an S1x.
I would be interested in knowing if anyone here has that combo and how they're satisfied with it.
