• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Ok, new problem. So I've been using the heat and noticed that the driver side blows a lil cooler than the passenger and no matter what it's set on the dash vents blow. I was just going to ignore it but with the temp being so low the past few days I'm now noticing that it seems the driver side is just blowing the cold air from outside. I'm also finding that the coolant temp is going all the way to the 210 mark if I'm sitting still an if I'm in motion it gets very low (not to bad while driving stop sign to stop sign in the city but it gets super low on the expressway). Has anyone had this issue before and how did you fix it?

What's your coolant mixture 50/50 or something different like 70/30? The different heat on separate sides sounds like you have dual temp control which could indicate there's a blend door issue.

Thanks for the fast replies. I don't know what my coolant mixture is to tell the truth. The car was sitting for about a yr and some change so a few months ago when I decided to start driving it again I just had it towed to the shop n told them to get it running. So basically it's whatever those guys did. I haven't had a ton of time to get very hands on with her. I got a lil time before I go to work so Im gonna go out there now and check out the blend door.

So note the driver's side on our cars doesn't seem to blow as hard, get as warm, or as cold due to a terrible ducting design. But it shouldn't blow cold air when the heater is on either.

The temp fluctuations are normal when it is really cold outside and you are driving at highway speeds, remember the radiator is in the front of the car and the coolant flows through it. I do not remember the math on it but if its 2* outside and you are driving 70mph the wind blowing into the radiator is many times colder than the air temp.
