1. Does an auto dealer have to set the sensitivety on my 97 gpse, I think its the stock alarm, I bought the car back in july of last year, but the only way to set off my alarm is by kicking the tire or unlocking the door befor deactivating alarm. I had hit the car, tried opening the locked door, bounced up and down. Alarm won't go off untill I kicked the tire.

2.How do you get the rear panel off to replace speakers, I took the back seat out and could not figure out hw the panel came off, Just pry it till it pops? I was afraid I would crack it or break it if I did that.

Thanks.

1. Roll the window down, lock it, let it set for 5-10 minutes, then unlock from the inside and open it, alarm should go off

2. Rear Deck ( 6 x 9 speakers )

1. REMOVE REAR SEAT BOTTOM CUSHION AND UPPER CUSHIONS.
2. REMOVE (3) PANEL FASTENERS FROM FRONT EDGE OF REAR DECK.
3. LIFT REAR DECK UP IN THE MIDDLE TO RELEASE SIDE EDGES FROM
AND REMOVE REAR DECK.
4. EXTRACT (4) SCREWS HOLDING SPEAKER, UNPLUG AND REMOVE
SPEAKER.

Yea I want to set the sensitivety up higher, is there a way I can do it, or does a dealer have to do it.

OK got the rear deck off "thanks again" Now these kenwood 9 inch speakers I bought don't fit in the black plastic speaker housing, that the stock speakers were secured too, So did anyone run into that? is there a universwal speaker housinjg part I need too buy, or did you just let the speakers lay in there without screwing the down.

Really? because I want my sensitivity reduced. Sometimes when I close my hood to hard (lame) it will go off or if someone closes the trunk/doors to hard it goes off.

Yea I don't want that, but I can jump on the car, slap any part of the car, lift the door handles, nothing, but when I kick the tire then the alarm will sound.
If someone is f'ing with the outside of my car I want to know about it.

And as far as my speakers go they are kenwood 6 x 9 inch speakers Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket and the dam screw holes don't line up, are these not conidered 6x9's? I didn't know there was two different types of 9 inch speakers. I just looked up model # and it says they are 6x9

Do you pull off the plastic housing and drill holes in the metal, or is there a universal plastic housing I have to buy, tried laying the speakers in both ways and the holes don't line up either way..lost the reciept and threw away the box so I can't exchange them
