3000GT Twin turbo VR4. 40-105mph

Well I didn't think my car is all that fast, but apparently I can out pace a 3000GT Twin Turbo VR4 from a roll.

He was behind me at the light and I could tell he was itching to go but there was a minivan or something in the other lane. So at green I just started cruising off the line in no hurry, but by 40mph he cleared the car in the other lane and hammered on it to pass me. So of course I floored it and he never passed my rear doors...

I missed my turn off so I could pull up next to him at the next light. He said he had 359hp twin turbos and asked what I had. I said I was pushing 300 (lol) and he seemed impressed but tried to dismiss his loss saying he screwed up the first shift trying to pass me.

I wouldn't doubt if the story is possible, but considering what the VR4 owner said his power was I'd bet he is basically stock and is using ricer math to figure his HP numbers. I'd also venture a guess he started the race in 3rd gear. VR4 will do ~40 mph in 1st and get up to ~110 in 3rd.

Lastly, those cars aren't meant to be roll racers, a 3500 rpm launch from a dig and you'd have been looking at his taillights.
