how to guide for dash bulb replacement?

stupid question for the day.....has anyone come across a how to guide for replacing the dash lights in the speedo/tach cluster and DIC? i have a 2000 GTP and have grown tired of the red lights. if anyone could point me in any direction it would be greatly appreciated!
 


You wanted to change out just the cluster lights and the DIC or like all of the hvac control lights ect?

I know some people have changed out ALL of the lights to blue LED's.
 
Kinda the same question but for an 02 LeSabre.......need a light behind the radio face that just burned out. Thanks.
 
I'm pretty sure thay had to re-soldier in new blue led bulbs.
 


Right, you have to solder in new bulbs. Sabrewings did his and it looks awsome. I believe BackInBlack has a write up on it.
 
The problem with the GP's face on the dash is that there is a red film behind the black outter layer of the dash you see facing you. You have to basically strip the blackface off and then use a heat gun to remove the film to acheive the color change you desire.

There was a write of sorts on "other" site, but it was not an exact science write up on how to do it. A guy basically purchased an extra one and conducted his experiment on it. It actually came out pretty good. But I do believe he wound up having the sodder the new LEDs in.

I personally would have just gone with the blue 194 LEDs and filed off the tips to push the light out the sides of the of the bulbs, to avoid the bright spots in the dash setup.
