new transmission pan from cartuning

After being under my car doing a pan drop and seeing as that's the lowest item on the car I really don't think that would work for a lot of us. We'd be cracking trans pans instead of oil pans lol

this is what makes me hesitant to purchase, that and I don't have any extra money to spend on car parts. it is probably fine like redcompg said, but I want to see someone do it first.

I emailed support yesterday ~ (excerpt)

I have a completely stock 05 GTP. I'm wondering if the trans will experience the same dry pan condition you describe. If this can happen in my otherwise stock car, I'd like to prevent it. I'd like added capacity to help maintain lower temps combined with a trans cooler anyway.
I might check out the fb page if I get impatient, but I haven't ordered a trans-go or anything yet.

Edit: They got back to me this morning ~

After our testing of stock pans, we recommend this pan to any enthusiast. As a matter of fact, we have recommended this pan to be used by service vehicles such as taxi, police, etc. as the extra capacity, and lack of aeration makes for much more consistent line pressures, and overall longevity.
That sounds kinda sales-ish, but it does make sense. I'll commit to a strong maybe right now. Price is $220 shipped, and they are 2 weeks back-ordered as of today.

Well, im buying one of these soon because i like doing long WOT highway runs in the turbo car while tuning and id hate to suck the pan dry. Ill report back here after install with pictures hopefully

another member on Facebook posted some pictures of it installed. it is a bit lower, but his transmission mount is sagging a bit. it doesn't look like it would be much lower than the pan I have now because there are tubes welded onto the bottom of it. when I have some spare money, I will probably buy one. sal with the turbo car is the one that posted them. if you are on facebook much, there is a group called 3800 W-body turbo club, and there isn't much misinformation there.

I would rather not have anything lower than my subframe. My ZZP pan looks good and does keep the fluid slightly cooler. I was 165 degrees like clockwork before and I am 160 now.
