Trying to find a way to disable my CAT testing on my 02 (in sig). I cant find anyway to open up the .hpt with tinytuner nor have i seen anyone successfully do it without DHP. Has anyone found a way yet? Otherwise if someone with DHP could convert to bin for me or just delete the testing.
 


if you like, send me your email, and osid#, its shown in your bin or pcm info. and i can kill the cat test in TT for ya, then email it to you, then you can change the vin#, that ive not done, the other guy figured it out.

once the dhp bin has the right vin # it will write with htp to your pcm.
 


I found it also, so rewrite my current OSID's vin with the one on the DB? then tiny tuner will open it and i can write it with HPT? or am i missing somthing?
 
your on target :th_thumbsup-wink: down load and set up old hpt, then the tiny tuner step for the cat test delete, and then change the vin in the bin. open and flash .

then read it back, copy your tune to the new bin. then flash your new file back to up grade the pcm with the tune.
 
Wrote new vin to the new bin from the DB, I opened it in TT to change the diagnostics and the cat testing isnt showing up.

some versions of TT dont show it, im using vs 1.9. iirc.

you click the diagnostic folder and its in the top 8 to 10 rows of items.

That would be awesome scotty! thanks! see if you can send your DB for tiny tuner I think im just lacking the right date base. That way if I ever need to use TT again.
 
not sure if this has been mentioned yet, but the new version of HP Tuners will not open a bin. the previous version, 2.24 will open bins, but not the new one.

you can go into the db link, find a vin with your osid# then change its vin with the how to, then your hp will read and write the bin. with the older hpt vs, not the new one.

once you open it im sure you can compair and copy your tune to the new bin and flash it.

or write it as is, then read it so its in hp format already. seems safer to me, but i dont know hpt at all. i just know it can open, edit, and flash a dhp bin.
